Mountain
Saddle Band Trail dust, creaking saddles, fire red sunsets, campfires, the
smell of worn leather and horses, and star filled nights are just a few of the
things you will think of when you hear the Mountain Saddle Band. Their sound
will recall the days of the "Old West" in your heart. A unique blend of mostly
old, and some new, cowboy songs and gospel songs with a cowboy touch and you'll
be treated to cowboy poetry that enhances the feel of the music. It's a
celebration of a time in America like no other and a reverence for the land
that most cowboys feel. The Mountain Saddle Band seeks to preserve our cowboy
heritage and a life in the "cowboy way" today as in the past. All this is laced
with a light humor that will have you dreaming of the "good old days", even if
you've never been there. After an evening with the Mountain Saddle Band, you
just might feel that you HAVE been there. Stephen Harrington, the leader and
founder of Mountain Saddle Band, sings lead vocals and plays rhythm guitar and
has written a number of the songs that the Mountain Saddle Band performs. Steve
Taylor sings lead vocals and back up, and plays harmonica. His harmonica adds
haunting leads and backgrounds that help flavor all of the music, and his poems
add a visual touch to the performances. Rusty Weiss plays bass guitar in a way
that fills out the band's sound and keeps you swaying in the saddle, as well as
adding some rich vocal background to the music. If you want to feel good about
yourself, your heritage, your country and your future you might just want to
saddle up and ride with Mountain Saddle Band. For more about the band, check
